Our Mission

Acupuncture Fertility Center of Rocklin was created to give hope to those seeking help in their fertility journey

We address

The emotional roller coaster of this journey, and the effect on the entire reproductive system when someone is under stress

The value of lab work (hormones and semen analysis) to better diagnose and treat each individual case

The importance of blood flow on the reproductive organs and the role that fertility massage (Arvigo) plays

The importance of nutrition and exercise when it comes to generating healthy eggs and healthy sperm, and gently educate and guide couples to healthier eating habits

The relevance of every study showing how acupuncture can be used to directly treat infertility or be used as an adjunct, such as with IVF or IUI

Dr. Jaime DeGuzmán, DTCM, LAc.

Jaime began treating women’s health and fertility issues back in 2007, while running his own health center in Grass Valley (Lotus Health Center). More recently while working at Acupuncture Fertility Specialists, Jaime honed his expertise in fertility by treating thousands of patients in a busy fertility clinic.

Jaime is a member of Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB) where he received extensive training on the use of the NADA protocol to treat mental/emotional disorders, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and insomnia. Jaime is also certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) in the use of the NADA protocol for substance abuse. He also has a background in pain management.

Jaime is a compassionate healer with a great sense of humor who loves to educate his patients and whose calm and gentle demeanor puts every patient at ease.

Jaime is married and has two adult kids and lives with his wife Jennifer in Rocklin. He was born in Chile and grew up speaking Spanish. He believes in exercising every day, eating a plant-based diet, and quieting the mind.

Jennifer DeGuzmán, Nutrition Counselor

A lifelong advocate for healthy living, Jennifer began her formal nutrition studies in the late 90s, at the Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition (formerly Institute of Educational Therapy) where she earned a certificate as a Diet Counselor. A mother of two young children at the time, she applied her knowledge as a nutrition counselor/educator for new parents, focusing on a whole foods plant-based diet for strong immune systems for both parents and their children.

She eventually stopped working to fully dedicate herself to raising her kids several years, as well focus on her musical talents as a Singer/Songwriter. During these years she continued her ongoing quest for more knowledge in the holistic nutrition field, including following the research of doctors such as Dean Ornish, and T. Colin Campbell.

More recently Jennifer worked for the Alzheimer’s Association as an evidence-based nutrition educator and counselor, for participants in a clinical trial study seeking to prove the connection between a healthy, plant-based diet and a lower incidence of cardiovascular disease and dementia (the POINTER Study).

Jennifer completed a training program in 2022 led by Dr. Will Tuttle, author of The World Peace Diet, and is certified to educate others on the principles of peaceful eating. The same year she also did a training with WeDidIt.Health, and is certified as a Plant-Based Grassroots Ambassador. And in 2024 she completed the Plant-Based Nutrition certification program with The T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. Her nutrition counseling & education services are called "Eating For Life", which is nutrition for all of life, from conception through all the many ages and stages.

Jennifer follows a daily practice of exercise and meditation, and loves spending time with her (now adult) kids, husband Jaime, and her Goldendoodle dog, Goldy.
